That wasn't even remotely depressing.
So great was your desire to play this cheap trick that you made a fool of yourself.
This was a disappointing attempt at a game with subliminal messages.
I sincerely hope you will create better games to hold your tomfoolery next time.

Just you wait!

Great physics puzzle game.
The music is absolutely exquisite.
I must stress that it's much more fun to play than it actually is because of the music.
The physics work properly and I played up to level 15 . It got pretty monotonous after that.
All in all a good game, it would be much better with medals.

Can you please share the music? I love it.

Impressive game, sir!
You have proven that one doesn't need fancy graphics or a story to make an addictive and enjoyable game.
The learning curve is bang-on. The frustration doesn't exceed the determination required to complete the levels.
Simple controls, a bright menu, soothing cheesy music... all the traits of a well designed game.
..and User created levels as a bonus ?!
Loved the cheeky messages on the medals.

Amazing work, I hope you make more puzzle games like this in the future.
Cheers!

Good strategy/puzzle game. Didn't lag at all for me.
It was simple fun until the 8th level, then things got complicated.
It loses its novelty after many levels and the pixelated look becomes an eyesore.
You could add some bright textures and make it pleasing to look at.
The medals work fine.

It's a good game, but not one that will receive a lot of attention.
Good Luck!

Great game, molkman!
It's funny and rewarding, and the controls are simple.
I loved the crush animations and the simple expressions.
As for improvements:
It needs a skip button at the prison part.
Some times, when I jump next to a crab, it dies on the upward motion instead of the downward.
Neither of those matter when the game is seen as a whole, though.

I expect a longer and more challenging sequel with loads of medals, next time.
Cheers!

molkman responds:

You can't skip prison, dog! There ain't no skip button in real life either.

Thanks for the review, though.

Great game, Nitrome !
This is the only game made by you that I was actually compelled to finish.
It starts off easy and then gets pretty challenging. It took me a lot of time to adjust to the No-Jump gameplay.
The music was especially good.

I couldn't figure out the solution to the one stage near the 40 gem lock, where you have a respawning block and 3 crushers.
The only complaint I have is the annoying dying noise, it only adds to the frustration when you die repeatedly. I almost rage quit because of that.

Other than that , a nice game. I voted for it on Steam and hope it actually works out.
Cheers!

Nicely done. The concept is good and you executed it well.
It started out easy and then got a bit disorienting with the multitasking.
I loved the music and the retro feel.
I only feel the monster's dying voice could have been a comic, high pitch yelp instead of a low burp.
All that aside, it's a good game. I expect more retro games from you soon.
Cheers!

whileworking responds:

Hahaha, didn't think someone would mention the voice... actually, it was a kind of one-shot placeholder... but the test players and even I loved it just because of the contrast, you know?
Feel free to check my other games here on ng, there are plenty of other retro style ones. -> "Holiday Sim" for example

WOW! Fabulous !
This is one of the finest games in the sub-genre of upgrade-and-repeat games, i have ever seen.

The pros-
The upgrades actually make a significant difference each time.
They are modestly priced, unlike the outrageous prices in most such games.
The next stock car is faster and better than the previous one, fully modified, so you feel the difference right away.
Super wheel was the bomb! Loved it.

The cons-
The annoying zombie moans over and over again made my ears bleed.
It's not available on the app store for Android.

But otherwise, a fantastic game. Hope to see the sequel soon - with more cars and upgrades.
Cheers!

Pretty nice.
The concept was good - a single screen avoid game with an off-beat theme.
The controls were just alright, not too fluid though.
I thought the theme could have been darker and more menacing instead of funny and plain silly.
It was quite challenging, i barely got past the first stage with half a heart left.
The spawn points and hitboxes bothered me somewhat - escape in some situations was impossible.

Anyways I enjoyed playing it and got the first five medals.
Cheers!

samulis responds:

Menu theme was a bit of a joke intentionally... it represents the "loopyness" of the main character.

Glad you liked it. :)

Hey guys, I'm a hardcore gamer , an NG loyalist and a total medal junkie. Sometimes I like to program flash games for fun, so PM me if you need any help with something and if I'm free, i'll be sure to help out.
