Hmm.. Can't say I'm really a fan of tomato soup.
As a dress up game, it could really use the snap back mechanism when you place the eyes and noses back.
And it could use more bodies.
Anyways since you pride on being the Soup Squad, you could gain more recognition by making a few better games rather than by making a lot of mediocre games.

TastyPotion responds:

It's not a real dress up game. More like a parody .

Not bad at all.
Although it's a tiny game with not much to do, it's still pretty fun.
The drift and sluggishness of the character added to the challenge.
You must have carefully calibrated the platform and building spawning locations as I did not have a single "unfair" situation where a building and platform appeared together to block my path entirely.
The powerups and parachutes reduced the monotony a bit.
You should really have made higher value medals, 7000+ is quite hard.

All in all, a nice little game. Loads of space for improvement.
Keep making more.

bcdefg123 responds:

Buildings spawn on the left or right sides, and platforms have a set amount of space between them, which gets smaller and smaller as you go. So you have at max only one building and platform to deal with at a time, which will not take up the entire width of the screen, no matter where they're placed.

For the medals, I had that thought while submitting. The reason they are the way they are is that I wanted a point scale consistent with my other games. I'll play the game again and re-evaluate them.

EDIT: I increased most of the medal's values.

Wow! That was unexpected...
I thought it was a crappy Jam game but it turned out pleasant.
Even though it had only 2 scenes and 3 objects, it expressed a lot through the theme.
There's a lot of potential in you, go out and make a nice Point and Click adventure with many rooms, objects and choices and don't forget to think of a nice theme too.
Good Luck!

GimmeSumJava responds:

Thanks man! I thought this game wouldn't be well received due to the shortness of it, but it turns out I was wrong.

Very nice game
It's a pleasant variation of the standard Breakout game.
The controls worked properly and the visuals were good.
I understand that there is a constant challenge in every level but even that gets boring after some time.
You could have introduced more elements like obstacles along the way or small minigames that you have to solve quickly while the ball is in the air, so you can proceed forward.

All in all, a good game that could be a little more fun.

unlimitary responds:

Thanks!

Very nice strategy game!
You've clearly put a lot of work into this game.
It's really time consuming and requires a lot of concentration.
And it's really difficult! I couldn't get past the second stage.
Since I'm a fan on mindless action and adventure games, this didn't really appeal to me.
I would really like to see animated warriors and soldiers battling instead of cards. And you could use different classes like cavalry, knights, foot soldiers instead of plain numbers on the cards.
Overall, a nice game that goes way above my head.

PS- The Lieutenant medal doesn't seem to work. I got 9 in game achievements.

GeneralVimes responds:

Thank you very much!

Yes, having animated warriors and various unit types would make a great enhancement, I hope, as I evolve my game developing skill, to release a sequel of such kind.

That's strange about the Lieutenant's badge. Anyway, the game stores your rank and medals and if you open the page again th bage will be awarded for you.

Age old concept and below average game.
The game seemed pretty challenging until it became almost impossible.
I rage quit after playing the second level five times.
You should atleast have let us continue from the same level and not start it all over again.

I have a suggestion (only read if you watch Two and a Half men):
Change the title to 2 and a half men. Put Charlie Sheen's, Jon Cryer's and Angus's faces on them.
Replace the obstacles by angry chicks for Charlie, Judith for Jon, and homework for Angus.
Sit back and watch the number of views grow!

VioletVulpine responds:

It's challenging

Pretty good game.
It's a happy , cheerful and not at all disturbing version of Dark cuts.
There is very little to do here, but because of the precision required and the time limit, it's very challenging. I like that.
The mouse movement wasn't up to the mark. Sometimes, I went out of line when I was visibly within the boundary and sometimes I got away when I went out of boundary.
The animation and music was pleasant.

Overall, a nice and challenging game.
Keep up the good work.

MonoFlauta responds:

Thanks, yes this isn't like dark cuts lol

Glad you liked this game and about the mouse going out, we gave people a "fail zone" so it didn't became so difficult

Thanks for the review!

This is basically a visual novel, not a game.
If it IS a game, then it's below average.
There was no animation or music.
The character models are way too simple and off-putting
All you have to do is keep clicking to move the story forward.
The story is horribly cliched and didn't even make me raise my eyebrows.
You should have really thought of something better.
Better luck next time.

omegafinal responds:

It is a visual novel pretty much. Although I should've tweaked the colors on the characters. They do look kinda sickly.

An average game.
Despite the dark overtones and music, it wasn't all that good.
There was no helpful intro , it just plunged you directly into the game.
There isn't a clear objective to the game.
The enemies were far too difficult and with weirdly sized hitboxes.
You can't be sure if you're punching an enemy until you actually touch him. There should have been audio effects when the bullets or punches made contact.
I was left floundering at the number puzzle for a while.
The enemies seem to shoot and punch you irrespective of their animations.
This game needs an overhaul, to be called a good game.
On the good side, you managed to set the atmosphere. And the evil laughing animation was nice and scary.

With a lot of effort, you can better this game. Good luck!

egg82 responds:

It's supposed to plunge you into the game, but there isn't supposed to be an enemy just sitting there waiting for you when you wake up - the first "bedroom" area is supposed to be free so you can get a feel for the controls.

The hitboxes aren't weirdly-sized (I traced hits. They're perfect), but there's no "hit" feedback. Well, there was, but I had to remove it because it was too buggy and we were running out of time. Sorry, I wish I could have had some feedback for the battle engine, I know it's important!

there should be a "tutorial" level, I agree. I'll put it in next time (updates)
They don't, but again it's the feedback.

I agree. On the update i'm going to code the engine from scratch.
Also: "Evil laughing animation" - wasn't intentional, but I like it. I could run with that!

This was a nice game, although I've played a lot of games like this (eating and puking)
The controls were smooth, and I had no episodes of getting stuck anywhere.
I liked the mario like system, where if an enemy touches you , you lose your stuff and become smaller instead of dying instantly.
In spite of the spikes, monsters and varying levels , this game was hardly challenging.
Next time, please make a game that would push the gamers to play it with all their concentration.
Good luck!

MintPaw responds:

Thanks, I haven't seen too many eating/puking games, although I'm not a big flash game player.

Hey guys, I'm a hardcore gamer , an NG loyalist and a total medal junkie. Sometimes I like to program flash games for fun, so PM me if you need any help with something and if I'm free, i'll be sure to help out.
