This seemed like an easy game in the first level where the enemies are slow and you can move smoothly.
But then it got so hard in the succeeding levels that I rage quit a few times.
The difficulty increase was gradual and the music was good.
But, the worst part about this game is that if you press the space bar to shoot at the instant the level ends, you get killed (99% of the time atleast). After dying for the 50th time because of that, I decided to call it quits. You should immediately rectify that.
If there's no way out you could atleast have given an audio indication when the timer reaches 5 seconds, because it's not possible to keep watching the timer.
Overall, a decent game. But, it can be much better if the glitches are removed.

MistyE responds:

Thank you for your helpful review.

Yeah I can understand the rage-quitting, and if I ever do make a game that has a space shooter element, I'll be sure to implement an audio indication, that's a great idea.

I will try to fix these glitches. Thanks again.

This is a great art game.
The controls are fluid and smooth. There seems to be a story, unfortunately not too interesting.
The atmosphere is good and the music is especially brilliant.
The little stick animations of running and swimming were pleasant to look at.
Having to play the entire Arboretum over and over again gets tiring, you could have made it shorter.
Overall, a decent game. If you had made the basic premise clear in the beginning, it would have been much better.

krangGAMES responds:

Excellent feedback, thanks!

Incredible graphics, yet a very limited gameplay.

First of all, I would like to congratulate you for fitting this entire masterpiece in just 8 MB.
The voice acting is awesome and so is the music.
I liked the little green speaker phone videos in the corner and also the fact that two blue lines at the top of the screen flashed to indicate a checkpoint.
And lastly, the graphics were amazing with various worlds and they totally immerse you into the game.

Now for the bad stuff:
The game itself gets boring after 2 minutes and there's absolutely nothing to do except spam the shoot button.
The enemies are hardly a challenge and so are the asteroids/ buildings.
The bosses are a refreshing change but not at all a challenge.
In some cases the enemy fire cannot be dodged at all.
And lastly, I would have liked a little explanation in the final boss level and not be left floundering like a fish (or rather a Scylla Starfighter spaceship, lol)

All in all, brilliant work. I expect a lot more next time. Try using more than 8 MB and building a better gameplay, better enemies and bosses.
Cheers !

Josepho responds:

Thanks!

This is pretty fun. For 5 minutes atleast.
But after that it gets monotonous, with very little to do but try and get some achievements.
It's a bit laggy and that makes it frustrating especially if you click outside by mistake when the enemies are near the right edge of the screen.
You could have added a shop where you can buy stuff to modify your weapon.
Also, I think the 30,000 medal is for the base score not the final score, because I got a final score of 42,000 after adding bonuses and still didn't get it.
All in all, a good game. Make a better version next time and you'll get the remaining half star as well.

VictorGrunn responds:

Thanks for the feedback - all great suggestions. I'll double check the 30k medal, it shouldn't have a requirement like that.

If anything I think you were too generous with this score, but I appreciate it all the same. The next game will be more depthful, and I'll try to patch this one up this week.

This was amazing, I'd love to see more.
The script was awesome and totally makes up for the lack of good artwork.
The getting stuck forever parts like shooting yourself or taking shelter in the house are gonna give me nightmares.
Most of the pictures are strangely scary and potentially epileptic so thanks for the warning.
Typo: In the ghostly demon part - "Run straight trough the horrible thing"
All in all, good stuff, keep making more of these.

P.S: Still didn't get the last secret medal like last time and still need someone to help me out like last time.

Shroom-Cushion responds:

Hey, thanks once again for dropping by Last Dance! Nice to hear that you've enjoyed it once again... And about the secret medal... well, this time you actually have to click something in background - something that looks like an item from a very popular universe.

Cheers.

And thanks for the typo catch, will fix it in a second!

Very good player with a nice interface.
I have a slow internet connection so it will take a while for each song to load.
If the radio lover medal is what i think it is, I'd rather not waste an hour and a half to get it, it's only 5 points.
And please add more songs...

deathink responds:

Well I don't think the medal is what you think it is. I am also very glad you like it.

Nice and challenging game. Not too frustrating and not too easy either.
I was able to complete them all, I loved the ones which had a certain pattern to them (like levels 26 and 30).
I applaud you for using only 300 kb for this. The medals were easy to get.
As mentioned by others already, the DIT DIT is annoying, but I played with my PC speakers off.
What is the TA DA medal? I tried everything to get it...

ArcticArcade responds:

SPOILER:

To get the "Ta Da!" achievement, you need to make a ball disappear...

Hey guys, I'm a hardcore gamer , an NG loyalist and a total medal junkie. Sometimes I like to program flash games for fun, so PM me if you need any help with something and if I'm free, i'll be sure to help out.
